Since 2001, the Carta team has been building awareness and trust through PR for products, services and companies in the world's fourth largest economy. As content professionals who grew up in Germany, we understand the structure and requirements of the German market and create PR solutions that generate the greatest possible benefit for our clients in this special environment. What sets us apart is that we look beyond ever-changing tools or techniques with a typically German, sober view of things: What really sets a company, its products and services apart from others and thus defines its raison d'être from the customer's perspective? With our strategic view, we use PR to create clear-cut positioning and thus the most efficient approaches for marketing communication.   

Our sweet spot are products and services that require explanation from sectors such as software, IT, energy, mechanical engineering, finance and infrastructure. We penetrate the most complex topics and transform them into benefit-based storytelling, customised to the various target groups.   

This is only possible if there is a great deal of experience within the team – and in this respect, our customers benefit from the fact that Carta has an extremely stable workforce with exceptionally long service records, in which extensive knowledge has been accumulated. For our customers, this also means that they profit from the certainty that their contact persons will remain their contact persons on a long-term basis.    

In 2024, we were honoured for our work with the International German PR Award from the industry association DPRG.  

Sector and media
specialisations

Industries tick differently. And the multitude of channels makes communication increasingly complex. To do justice to this, we have created sector and media specialisations within the Carta team - from the construction industry to health communication to PR for wineries and from search engine optimisation to social media to video conception.

Depending on the requirements, we put together teams of experts who work together to create the best possible conditions for our clients' success. The client always has a fixed contact person who both advises him and manages the implementation.

We are located in the heart of the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region, an economically prosperous conurbation with excellent transport connections in all directions. Along the Upper Rhine between Mannheim-Ludwigshafen, Heidelberg and Karlsruhe, there are numerous medium-sized and large companies active at home and abroad, which we help to build up awareness and trust in their markets, often through many years of trusting cooperation.

Our claim is to be as international as our clients are, while being aware of regional peculiarities. That's why we support our globally active clients with international trade press work and globally targeted online campaigns.

Long-term team philosophy for long-term partnerships

Carta is a team of industry and media experts that has grown steadily over the years. In addition to dealing with each other in a factually critical and humanly open manner, it is a central idea of the agency to give its team members the freedom for professional development that corresponds to their interests and talents.

This starts with our trainee programme. This philosophy, which is designed for long-term retention in the team, benefits our clients: the skills and valuable knowledge of our clients' specific industries and requirements remain with the agency for longer and form the basis of our trusting client relationships.

What is our clients' carta?

Why "Carta"? We have three answers to that.

Carta stands for the original medium.

Carta goes back to the Greek word for paper sheet, perhaps even to the Egyptian word for "writing box", in Italian it simply means "paper".

Carta stands for orientation.

Carta is in the word map, which tells who you are (in the sense of an identity card) and where you are (in the sense of a land or sea map).

Carta stands for commitment.

Carta or charter in the sense of an agenda stands, sometimes in Latin, sometimes in its Greek variant, for agreements, for what people think about a matter, for their convictions and ideas.

We think it all fits quite well with us - and with what we do for our clients: We use communication to establish connections and commitment between them and their target groups.
